Amisk Lake Bible Academy is back in full swing. The Bible school is run as a ministry of Amisk Lake in Denare Beach, SK and is using the International School of Ministry (ISOM) VCD curriculum to expose students to some of the best Bible teachers in the world. Some of the teachers featured are Joyce Myers, John Bevere, T. L. Osborne, and Reinhard Bonnke, to name a few. Students watch the one-hour sessions and then divide into small groups to discuss the lesson and to pray for one another. Currently the program has been translated into over 50 of the world's languages and is being used in many nations of the world as a leadership training tool. Amisk Lake Bible Academy is working toward having the program operating in several northern communities. The program is divided into five trimesters of 32 lessons each. Upon successful completion of the program, students may apply for an associate of arts degree from Vision University. For those who do not want credit or notes but just want to expand their Bible knowledge, they may attend the sessions for free. Presently there are 14 students registered for credit, and a total of 24 persons attended the first session on September 22. The program will operate on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00. There is still time to register, but all registrations must be in by Wednesday, September 29. For information contact Pastor Mark Ramshaw at 688-5120.
