A semi hauling a trailer full of beer capsized near Cranberry Portage on Wednesday, strewing its sudsy shipment across the highway and ditch. The driver of the semi was taken to the Flin Flon General Hospital and quickly released following the single-vehicle mishap. 'It was quite a mess to clean up,' said RCMP spokesperson Tara Seel. RCMP were dispatched to the accident scene, two kilometres south of Cranberry Portage on Highway 10, at about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. The semi was traveling north toward Cranberry Portage, but police did not know the ultimate destination of its cargo. Highway 10 was closed for a number of hours, forcing some residents and businesspeople to cancel trips between Flin Flon and both Snow Lake and The Pas. Seel said Wednesday evening that it was too early to say whether charges would be laid as the investigation was ongoing. 'What is clear is the driver lost control of the rig,' she said. No other details were available as of press time.
