In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 30, 2005, a culprit(s) attempted to get into two mini-vans. In the first instance the alarm was set off in the van, probably scaring the culprit. Approximately half an hour later, the steering column of a second van was damaged. Police want the general public to remember to lock their vehicles, and to remove anything of value from them. Anybody with information in regards to these attempted thefts is asked to contact the local detachment at 687-7488 or via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
