Assault in Puk

RCMP in Pukatawagan have made an arrest but continue to investigate a serious assault on the remote northern reserve. On Nov. 29, shortly before 4:30 a.m., police responded to a call and discovered a woman lying in the snow outside of a business.

On Nov. 29, shortly before 4:30 a.m., police responded to a call and discovered a woman lying in the snow outside of a business.
She had been badly beaten and was suffering from severe trauma to her face and head.
The victim is a 59-year-old resident of Pukatawagan who was transported to Winnipeg, where she has been upgraded to stable condition.
A 17-year-old female has been arrested in relation to this matter. Police continue to investigate.
