Last Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6, the Flin Flon Friendship Centre hosted an art display with Irvin Head giving a soapstone carving demonstration. Head also displayed works from a newly formed artistic group known as First Nations Art Group in which there are currently 10 artists, and is expected to expand as the group gains notoriety. Some of the artists on display were Jeff Monias who is a fantastic wildlife painter, Eddy Munroe, Cyril Assiniboine, Gayle Sinclair, Jimmy Harper, Kurt Flett, Andy Daniels and Garry Young. These talented artists have had their works displayed in Europe and all over Canada and will be a force to be reckoned with as they become better known!
