Gently used art supplies and other recreational equipment are being collected to send to the youth in Cross Lake as the northern Manitoba community grapples with an epidemic of suicides.
The NorVA Centre (177 Green Street, former Johnny’s building) is setting up a depot box from Monday, March 14 to March 21 to collect art supplies and recreational items to send to the community.
Financial donations are also being accepted to purchase supplies.
Donations can be dropped off between 10 am and 5 pm at NorVA. For further information, call NorVA at 204-687-4237.
