Attention northern artists! Preparations are underway for Northern Manitoba to host its biggest art competition, the annual Northern Juried Art Show. This year The Pas is hosting the 28th Annual event being held at Keewatin Community College May 14, 15 and 16, 2004. Each year artwork in various categories are accepted into the competition. These include photography, paintings, water colours, drawing and printmaking, fibre art, crafts and sculpture. In addition computer art/graphics will be accepted for exhibit only. Adjudication of all artwork takes place at the show and this year this task will go to Pauline Braun, Jan Hall, and Doug Glenn, professional artists in Manitoba. The NJAS welcomes all northern residents (north of 53) to enter their art. A youth category for 17 and under is available. If you plan to enter please note that deadlines for registration entry is April 9, 2004. May 1, 2004 is when all art is to be at the required drop off depots located throughout the north. We hope to see your art at this year's Northern Juried Art Show in The Pas.
