Flin Flon RCMP hope they have ended a two-month wave of home burglaries with the recent arrest of two teenagers and a young adult. Last Thursday evening, police arrested two male young offenders on Hapnot St. after finding them in possession of a watch that had been stolen from a Bellevue Ave. home that same evening. Police spotted the suspects, who attempted to evade the officers, after responding to a third report of a break and enter in the uptown area in just 30 minutes. With the teens, aged 15 and 17, incarcerated at the Flin Flon RCMP station, police continued their investigation overnight and into the following day, when they searched the suspects' residences. Stolen property recovered from the residences included items thieved from the uptown area as well as the Willowvale area. Police charged the 15-year-old young offender with eight counts of possession of stolen property related to eight different incidents of break, enter and theft. RCMP charged the 17-year-old young offender with one count of possession of stolen property and five counts of breach of probation. Both teens have been remanded into custody to The Pas Correctional Centre. A third suspect Ð a young adult male from Flin Flon Ð has been charged with one count of break, enter and theft and is slated to appear in court on Dec. 10. Police said they expect to lay additional charges in the immediate future pending the results of forensic testing.
