Jonathon Naylor Editor Murder charges have been laid after police say an argument-fueled altercation left a Moose Lake man dead. Last Thursday, Jan. 3 at 11 p.m., Mounties were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence on the northern reserve. Inside they found an unconscious and injured 24-year-old Moose Lake man. Resuscitation attempts failed. RCMP say their investigation revealed that an argument led to an altercation resulting in the death. Lott Campbell, 32, of Moose Lake has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He was to have made his first court appearance on Monday. Autopsy results had not been released as of press time, nor had the name of the victim. Police said both men were known to each other. Moose Lake RCMP are investigating the homicide along with the Thompson RCMP Major Crime Unit, D Division Serious Crime Unit and The Pas RCMP Forensic Identification Unit. Moose Lake is located about 100 km southeast of The Pas.
