Flin Flon MLA Clarence Pettersen rose in the legislature Tuesday to commend one of the nation's top school principals. Tom Gallant, principal of West Lynn Heights School in Lynn Lake, has been named one of Canada's Outstanding Principals by The Learning Partnership. 'His devotion and passion has helped to create a welcoming learning environment where students strive to succeed,' Pettersen told his colleagues. Pettersen said that under Gallant's direction, West Lynn Heights has seen a growing enrollment and new learning programs. 'Mr. Speaker, Tom Gallant has been a great team leader to his staff and students in Lynn Lake,' said the MLA. 'His expertise and his desire to improve learning opportunities for northern students have resulted in many successes.'
