Apparent stabbing in Pelican Narrows leaves man, 21, dead

A police investigation is underway after a 21-year-old Pelican Narrows man died of apparent stab wounds. Last Friday, Feb. 12, at 9:42 am, Pelican Narrows RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured person at a residence on the reserve.

Last Friday, Feb. 12, at 9:42 am, Pelican Narrows RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured person at a residence on the reserve.

Police determined the victim was suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was transported to the Pelican Narrows Health Centre and was pronounced deceased.

Investigators believe the man’s death is suspicious in nature. Police did not release his name. An autopsy was scheduled for earlier this week in Edmonton.

Pelican Narrows RCMP, RCMP Major Crime Unit South, Prince Albert RCMP Forensic Identification Section and Regina and Yorkton general investigation sections continue to investigate.
