The Community Hall was beautifully decorated in a wintery scene for St. Ann's Parish Bazaar that was held on Saturday, October 18. The bazaar was opened by Fr. Denis Bourbonnais and tea/coffee and any kind of pie you could imagine was served. There was the usual "Loonie parade" as well as crochet, knitting, perogies, candy crafts and novelties being sold. According to co-convenors Kathy Bunn-Matzer and Phyllis Kozak, there were about 1,000 people who went through the hall. The highlight of the bazaar was the Hope Chest draw that was won by Nora Fontaine. The second prize of a TV was won by Morgan Beauchamp, and the third prize of an Afghan was won by Louise Carriere. The door prize was won by Elaine Wilson. Other prize winners from the raffles held at various booths were: Crochet Afghan Lil Mardell and the basket was won by Shonnah Hanson. Candy Booth basket was won by Roller. Crochet white runner was won by Val Strelezki with the Crochet 28" Blue Doily won by Evelyn Currier. The large Crochet Table Cloth was won by Diane Therien and the small one was won by Sarah Matzer. The cross stitch polar bear was won by Mavis Hucaluk. The quilt was won by Ted Baumgartner. The Christmas Novelty prize was won by Linda Mandes. The Doll raffle was won by Kristen Gourlay. The Santa Claus Cookie Jar was won by Pat Dymtriw and the cake was won by R. Pico.
