The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people with allergies to peanut or tree nut proteins not to consume Advent Calendar Milk Chocolate Figurines. The affected product may contain peanut and tree nuts which are not declared on the label. This alert is of concern to those individuals who have allergies to peanut or tree nut proteins. The affected product is sold in 75g (2.6 oz.) packages bearing UPC 6 21777 19608 8. Each package contains 24 milk chocolate figurines and has various Christmas Holiday scenes displayed on the front panel. The importer, Bal-Globe Fine Foods Inc., Montreal, Quebec, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The affected product has been distributed across Canada. Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to peanut or tree nut proteins.
