The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people with sensitivities to sulphites not to consume Happy Phoenix Dried Lily Flowers. The affected product may contain sulphites, which are not declared on the label. This alert is of concern to those individuals who have sensitivities to sulphites or who are asthmatic. The affected product, Happy Phoenix, Dried Lily Flowers, a product of China, is sold in a 200 g package bearing UPC 6 927585 260039. The importer is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The affected product has been distributed in Alberta, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories. Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with sensitivities to sulphites. Sulphites may trigger an asthmatic reaction in people who have asthma.
