RCMP have formally charged a Flin Flon man for allegedly trying to videotape a woman through the window of her home in The Pas. Shelly Husberg, 47, has been charged with voyeurism and trespass by night. The charges have not been proven in court. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Sept. 26 in The Pas. Sgt. Lee Fortin of The Pas RCMP said police are still reviewing an undisclosed number of videotapes and a computer seized from Husberg to determine if further charges will be laid. The tapes will take at least a couple of weeks to review, Sgt. Fortin said. While police initially stated in a news release that they had seized more than one computer, Sgt. Fortin said only one computer was in fact retrieved. Arrested Husberg was arrested Aug. 24 after RCMP in The Pas received a call from a woman who claimed to have seen a suspicious man outside her window. Mounties located the suspect, whom they say tried to evade them. A foot chase ensued, with police apprehending him as he attempted to hide in a nearby yard. Police say they found him to be in possession of a handheld video camera and confirmed he had been trying to videotape the woman without her knowledge. RCMP executed search warrants on the suspect's vehicle, which was found near the scene, as well as his home in Flin Flon.
