A group of junior high students will be staying up really, really late for a really, really good cause. Over 20 grade 7 and 8 Parkdale School students will pull an all-nighter at their school tomorrow to raise funds for the tsunami relief efforts. The student council came up with the idea, eager to find a way to help people devastated by one of the worst natural disasters the world has seen. "I think they understand the global aspect of what happened there," said principal Bill Pauley, who will serve as one of the chaperones. "They've been looking at it on the Internet and watching clips in class. They wanted to do something." To keep themselves occupied (and from falling asleep), the students will watch movies, play some games in the gymnasium and enjoy board games. Their all-nighter begins tomorrow evening at 8 p.m. and will run until 8 a.m. Saturday. Anyone wishing to make a pledge toward the students' efforts may phone the school at 687-4954.
