A Flin Flon man faces possible jail time after pleading guilty to sex charges involving a 13-year-old girl.
As The Reminder previously reported, Flin Flon RCMP launched an investigation on Feb. 23 after receiving information that the man had sent inappropriate text messages to to the girl.
The man was arrested four days later and has since pleaded guilty to sexual interference, luring a minor and accessing child pornography. He is due to be sentenced July 31.
Mounties had originally charged the man, 31 at the time of his arrest, with sexual assault, sexual interference, luring a minor and invitation to sexual touching.
The man’s name will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim, also a Flin Flon resident.
Break and enter
In an unrelated case, RCMP have arrested a male teenager in connection with a June 14 break and enter at North of 53 Consumers Co-op.
The 17-year-old has been charged with break, enter and theft as well as failing to comply with conditions of his undertaking. He was remanded into custody.
