A semi truck rammed into a car just north of The Pas over the weekend, sending the passenger of the car to Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre. The Pas RCMP said the accident occurred when the intoxicated driver of the car drove across the centre line of Highway 10 early Saturday morning. A statement issued by police said the car's passenger suffered "serious injuries" and was flown to Winnipeg for treatment, but provided no other details of the injury. See 'Charged' P.# Con't from P.# Police have charged the driver of the car with impaired driving causing bodily harm; failure to remain at an accident scene; driving without a license; and driving an unregistered vehicle. The driver, an Opaskwayak Cree Nation man, was remanded into custody for a court appearance yesterday. The accident occurred about three kilometres north of The Pas shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday.
