A Northern Manitoba teenager has died from injuries after an accident in which she was hit by an RCMP cruiser. Monica Spence, 14, of Nelson House suffered internal injuries when she was struck by an RCMP cruiser on February 10. The teen was reportedly in a coma at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg when she died Saturday. Nelson House is a reservation about 65 kilometres west of Thompson. The cruiser that struck the teen was from Thompson, whose RCMP detachment continues with its investigation into the accident. Slippery road conditions may have been a factor.
