Jonathon Naylor Editor An accidental house fire in Pelican Narrows has claimed two lives. RCMP were dispatched to the scene at 3:10 p.m. last Wednesday, March 7, to find the home fully engulfed in flames. A 45-year-old woman was able to flee the house, but efforts by residents to resuscitate her were unsuccessful. The body of a 57-year-old man was subsequently located inside. The names of the victims were not immediately released pending notification of next of kin. The coroner has been to the scene and autopsies were to be conducted on both victims. Investigators determined the fire was accidental in nature.
