Flin Flon’s NorVA Centre will soon undergo a major facelift – and everyone’s invited to help make it happen.

This Saturday, June 18, NorVA members will be creating a mosaic mural on the façade of the art studio and gallery space at 177 Green Street.

The mural will be created on thick plywood panels, which will later be attached to the front of the building.

Annie Bergen, an experienced muralist from Winnipeg, is coordinating the mural, which is intended to be a piece of collaborative artwork.

“We want this to be a community project so we’re inviting everyone to help create the mural,” reads a NorVA press release for the event.

Anyone interested in participating can join in at NorVA this Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

Organizers are also requesting community donations of materials for the project, including tiles, glass, broken pottery, marbles, bottle caps and pennies.
