Audiences have asked one question since the Flin Flon Community Choir announced last year they would perform Mamma Mia at the RH Channing Auditorium this spring – “My, my, how could I resist you?”

The choir and the Flin Flon Arts Council have taken notice. Flin Flon Arts Council cultural coordinator and community choir director Crystal Kolt confirmed that a fourth show will be added for the production’s upcoming run; either a Thursday night show or a Saturday matinee during the show’s existing run this May.

Popular demand was the reason behind the change, said Kolt.

“We’re almost completely sold out. We definitely need to make room for another show,” she said.

“Everybody is super excited about the show.”

Meanwhile, rehearsals for the performance began last weekend. Further rehearsals will take place later this month when choreographer Janelle Hacault, a Montreal-based artist who worked with the choir’s production of Grease, arrives to meet with the cast.

Further advancement will come Feb. 1, when the show’s director is set to make the trip to Flin Flon.

“The green light is on. The go button is on. We’re working,” said Kolt.
