Take a chance on them – the Flin Flon Arts Council has announced the performers for the group’s upcoming production of musical hit Mamma Mia.

In the musical, romantic intrigue and familial confusion break out at a destination wedding in Greece, all to the tune of chart-topping hits by Swedish quartet Abba.

The role of Donna, played by Meryl Streep in the 2008 film adaptation of the musical, will be filled by Emily Sparling.

Katrina Windjack and Natalie Milligan will play Donna’s close friends and former bandmates.

Anna Harrison will take on the role of Donna’s daughter, Sophie, played in the film by Amanda Seyfried.

Sophie’s three potential fathers, played by Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard in the film, will be played by John Bettger, Kevin Imrie and Raphael Saray on the Flin Flon stage.

Two of Sophie’s friends will be played by Logan Oulette and Mari Pettersen.

Jacob Harvie will fill the role of Pepper, a bartender and a friend of Sky, Sophie’s love interest.  Two roles are still open, both for male parts – the roles of Sky and one of his friends are currently unfilled.

The arts council’s edition of Mamma Mia will hit the RH Channing Auditorium stage next spring.
