Safety first: Snoman course

Its evident summer is over as leaves are quickly changing; not to mention Flin Flon and Creighton have already received the first snowfall of the year.

With winter on its way — faster than many would choose — area residents will be getting out their snow machines for another season of riding.

But before you hop on your sled, there are a few things to take into consideration.

Safety is a key ingredient in having fun while out on a snow machine.

Snoman Inc. will again be offering snowmobile safety courses. This year, riders can take the course online.

The course will educate riders in terms of safety and ethics, as well as the responsibilities they hold.

“We encourage all snowmobile operators to complete the safety education course before operating on public (or) private lands or trails,” stated Yvonne Rideout, Executive Director of Snoman.

Riders can check out www.snoman.mb.ca for the online course.
