Next month, every student in Flin Flon and Creighton will have the opportunity to see an iconic show for free.

Good Spirit Air Service, a sponsor of July’s Flin Flon Rotary Air Show, has purchased tickets for every student in the Flin Flon and Creighton school divisions. Tickets are being distributed to students at school this month.

Organizer Bill Jackson said an impressive number of sponsors have come together to help bring the show to the community.

“I feel very grateful for all our sponsors. They have been so wonderful, so supportive.  They want to see the air show come here,” Jackson said.

The Rotary Club of Flin Flon is coordinating the air show as a fundraiser for the Flin Flon ER upgrade, to help fulfill the service club’s commitment to make a $75,000 donation to the project.

The show will feature the precision formation acrobatics executed by the Canadian Snowbirds and the CF-18 demonstration team pilots.

Jackson, who saw the Snowbirds perform in Portage la Prairie last Saturday, said the show is “absolutely awesome.”

“I just know everybody’s going to love it,” he added.

The Flin Flon Rotary Air Show will take place on Wednesday, July 13 with live entertainment beginning at 4 pm and the air show starting at 7 pm, at the Flin Flon airport.

Tickets are available at Pharmasave, Kleen All and online at flinflonairshow.ca.
