Frances Mary Oliver (Antcliffe) of the Flin Flon Personal Care Home passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Frances was born July 1, 1919 to parents Charles and Dorothy Antcliffe in the Registration District Leighton Buzzard, Bedford County, England. She lived in England; Wadena, SK; and Flin Flon, MB. On October 20, 1939, she married Ernest (Jim) Oliver. Frances enjoyed baking, knitting, bingo, catering and sewing. She was a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church, the Anglican Church Women and the Royal Purple. She was a kind and thoughtful person always willing to lend a hand. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Frances was predeceased by her parents Charles and Dorothy Antcliffe, husband Ernest (Jim) Oliver, sisters Jean Stenbeck, Dorothy Walker and Marjorie Brown, and brother Jack Antcliffe. She is survived by sisters Lois Verstraete and Eileen Besler, children Phyllis Pfohl and Shirley Martens, grandchildren Karen Yun, Gordon Pfohl, Ann Thomas, Brenda Yoshida and Melanie Bissonnette, great grandchildren Michael Yun, David Yun, Damon and Callum Pfohl, Tucker and Bailey Bissonnette and Raiden Yoshida. Funeral services for Frances Oliver were held Monday, August 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Peter/St. James Anglican Church, Flin Flon with Reverend Raymond Knight officiating. Honourary pallbearers were Richard Yun, Gordon Pfohl, John Thomas, Brian Yoshida and Marc Bissonnette. Memorial register attendant was Florence Stewart. Following interment at Hillside Cemetery, lunch was served by the ACW and Royal Purple at the church hall.
