He married Meryl (Boyce) in October 1965. Sons, Dwayne and Glen, were born in Flin Flon. In October 1970, Larry was hired by Southern Peru Copper Corporation and the family moved to Peru. Larry held many positions with the Company. He loved Peru and the people. He retired back to Flin Flon in October 1995. Larry enjoyed fishing up to the time of his illness. As a young man he hunted but when he retired he no longer cared to kill a healthy animal. He loved his 'shack' at the lake and his dog 'Bud'. He is survived by wife Meryl, sons Dwayne (Reneta) and Glen, grandchildren Morgan and Connor, Aunts Lil Schuman (George) and Lori Hutton, Uncle Wilfred Guymer and numerous Guymer and McIntosh cousins. Funeral services were held July 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Northminster United Church with Pastor Rebecca Graham officiating. Susan and Brent Lethbridge performed 'special' music.
