Henry, Dennis Wayne It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis Henry on Monday, April 6, 2009 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 43, with his wife at his side after a heroic battle with cancer. Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jennifer, parents Pat West (Dan) of Vernon, BC and Roy Henry (Audrey) of Flin Flon, MB, sisters Joanne of Calgary, Kendra of Flin Flon, grandmothers Vernice Henry of Flin Flon, Eileen West of Peterborough, mother-in-law Mary Grabowski and sister-in-law Jo-Ann Grabowski of Kitchener. Pack members Bailey and Flint wonder where their master is. Dennis is lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfathers and father-in-law. Dennis was born and raised in Flin Flon, MB. He graduated from Hapnot Collegiate in 1984. He received the Governor General Medal for Manitoba and the W.A. Green Scholarship from HBM&S. Dennis graduated from McMaster University in 1988 and settled in the Kitchener/Waterloo area after acquiring a position with ComDev, Cambridge. He was an employee of ComDev for over 20 years, where he performed the engineering and space work he loved doing as a rocket scientist. Dennis has left behind a legacy which has helped mankind understand space, earth and its environments. Dennis was a member of the AWO (Amateur Wine Makers of Ontario), the Cork Screw Society and was an avid cyclist either pedaling to work or mountain biking on weekends. The funeral will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2009 in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener, Ontario 519-749-8467. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the World Wildlife Fund Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
