Alfred Norman (Norm) Rayner 1920-2010 Peacefully, Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Northern Spirit Manor, Mr. Alfred Norman Rayner, aged 89 years of Thompson. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at St. John's United Church with Rev. Leslie King officiating. Internment followed at Thompson Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters Marilyn (Jack) Kitteringham of Calgary, AB and Elaine (Wayne) Jaszan, South Porcupine, ON. Also left to mourn: Grandpa Norm to Jennifer Jaszan (David McGrath), Heather Kitteringham (Shelly Fitzpatrick), Jannette Jaszan-Coles (Shane Coles), Jonathan (Salena) Kitteringham and Jeffrey Kitteringham (Amanda Clark). Great-Grandpa to Emily Petersen, Kieran Kitteringham, Zachary Coles, Curtis Coles and Landon McGrath He was predeceased by his son Gerald in 1988 and his wife Genevieve in 1991. Norm came to Thompson in 1967 and was the Zone Postmaster until he retired in 1985. He was a long time Rotarian and volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Thompson Museum, Minor Baseball and Rotary Moak Lake Camp.
