THOMPSON - Gertrude Elaine passed away in her 84th year in the Flin Flon General Hospital on Sunday, February 1, 2004. She is survived by one sister, Effie Woodward of Brandon, MB; three daughters, Faye Griffiths of Portage La Prairie, MB, Wanda (Don) Hay of Lloydminster, SK, and Deborah Campbell (Lyle Farmer) of Creighton, SK; one son, Jim (Lois) Thompson of Clinton, BC; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law. Funeral service was held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, on Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Saskatoon, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gertrude's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (279 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8). The family would like to thank Dr. Kucparic, medical staff on the third floor of FFGH, and Creighton Home Care for the wonderful care given to Mom. Thanks to Heritage Manor for the use of the facilities. Also thanks to all our friends for your help, support and expressions of sympathy.
