GEORGETTE DANIS January 6, 1934 - October 18, 2003 Mom was born to Eugene and Juliette Charbonneau on January 6, 1934. She was the third oldest of their eleven children. In the winter of 1950 she met Dad and they were married on October 8, 1951. At the time they had no way of knowing what the future held for them. In the years to come there would be laughter and tears, triumphs and trials, joys and sorrows, but most of all a lot of love. Shortly after they were married Mom and Dad moved to Flin Flon. Their first home was actually in Creighton. In 1963 they moved to Adams Street and have lived there ever since. Their first child, Monique, was born in August 1952 and she was soon followed by Joseph, Guy, Denise, Dean and David. Mom loved us all dearly and devoted her life to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Over the years there wasn't always a lot but Mom made sure that if there was anything we wanted she would try to get it. She always had her door open to our many friends. She was a very caring and kind person. An example of her good heart is that in the winter if there was ever a friend of ours without mitts she would go into her stack of knitting and get them a toque and mitts to wear. As well, Mom gave countless knitted items to The Lord's Bounty Food Bank, The Nearly New Shop and to the church. When we were young Mom and Dad took us camping at Phantom Lake and Whitefish Lake. Mom really enjoyed going fishing with us on these occasions. Mom's favourite pastimes were knitting and walking. She loved to walk and her favourite place to go was the boardwalk. Mom would get Dad off the couch and away they would go. Another pastime she enjoyed was bingo. Once or twice a week she would go and grumble at the bingo caller for not calling her numbers. Mom said just before she passed away that she had lived a good and full life. The only true sorrow she knew was the passing of her son Guy in 1997, but now she is with him and they are catching up on things. Mom, we love you and we miss you. Georgette is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jean; children Monique (Nick) Berzenji, Joe (Mary), Denise (Gary) Cousins, Dean (Anne), and David (Debbie); grandchildren Julio (Jessica), Adrian (Roberta), Sarah and Daniel Berzenji, Lisa and Michael Danis, Jennifer and Kimberly Danis, Reid and Allison Cousins, Devon Danis, Sean, Christopher, and Dustin Danis; great grandchildren Cole and Dawson Berzenji.
