Timothy James McKay passed away suddenly on September 30/03 at the young age of 43 years. Tim was predeceased by his infant brother Roderick Norman and sister (baby) Margaret Marilyn McKay. Left to mourn him are his mother Corry McKay, sisters Gertie (Joe), Elaine, Judy; brothers Walter (Eve), Bubba, Rodney (Charlene), Bimbo (Karen), Rene (Donna), Terry (Pam), Keith (Brandi); father Rod McKay (Jimina); Robert and Marlene; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church presided by Father Denis Bourbonnais. Music provided by Arlene Milton with Dana Dadson in care of arrangements. Eulogy was by his sister Gertie Sewap. Timothy James, Timmy, Timo-Jim and Teej called by the family. Family was everything to Timmy. He had a great love for his brothers and sisters, but a special love for all his nieces and nephews. He spent many hours with them, catering, swimming, dancing, singing, playing music, baking and cooking for all the kids. Tim was a great cook and loved to entertain. Be it a card party or just a party with family and friends, there was always good food, good music and good fun. He loved to dance and he made sure he got everyone else up to dance too. It was just good times when you were at Tim's house. Tim also had a passion for the game of hockey. He was a Montreal Canadien fan since he strapped on his first pair of skates. Growing up Tim played minor hockey along with the rest of his brothers. Another of Tim's favourite things was picking berries. Every year you could expect a call from Tim saying, "It's time, the berries are ready, let's go pickin'.' Tim loved the outdoors, just to walk about the bush or take a dip in the lake. He loved swimming. He was the first one in the water and the last one out. There are many wonderful stories and memories we have of Tim, each brother and sister can recall many I'm sure and his friends too. But our best memory of Tim is the big teddy bear with a big heart, a loving soul and willing hands, always ready to help out when they were needed. Tim, you will truly be missed but not forgotten. There is an empty space in our family now which can never again be filled. We will miss your sense of humour, your cooking, all the fun times together, your quick wit and your belly laughter, but most of all, just you our brother, uncle and a loving son. Sleep well, Tim. We love you. Thank You The McKay family would like to extend a thank you to all the people who comforted us in our time of sorrow at the passing of our brother and son, Timothy James McKay. To Father Denis Bourbonnais for the mass; Arlene Milton for the music; pallbearers Marc McKay, Vaughn Fidler, Rob Wallaker, Gary McKay, Dan Blackmon, and Tom McKay; ushers Jerry Menzies and Louis Van Gelderen; attendants Al and Elenore Richard; Dana Dadson; and the Catholic Women's League for the lunch. Hospital staff for the memorial at the boardwalk and to all those who sent cards, flowers, phone calls, prayers, meals, baking, meat trays, monetary donations and mass cards. We are overwhelmed at the love, compassion, sympathy and generosity shown to all our families. It is difficult to express our gratitude and appreciation for all you have done. A special thanks to Dana Dadson for all your help and anyone we may have overlooked. May the peace of Christ be with you all. Thank you, Mom Corry McKay, Walter, Gertie, Bubba, Rodney, Bimbo, Elaine, Judy, Rene, Terry, Keith, Dad Rod Mckay, Robert, Marlene and all the families
