Jack Angelski of the Northern Lights Manor passed away on December 21, 2003 at the age of 86 years. Jack was born on June 12, 1917 in Wroxton, SK to Joseph and Agnus Angelski. His parents moved around a lot when he was growing up and they lived in many places in Saskatchewan. Jack had a great love for the outdoors. He had many jobs from commercial fishing to hauling lumber to eventually hiring on at HBM&S as an underground miner until his retirement in 1982. On August 30, 1943 he married Inez Schell and they began their life of 60 years together. They were blessed with two children: Mervin (Wencke) of Kelowna, BC and Chris of Edmonton, AB. They have five grandchildren: Michael, Kathleen, Twyla, Lonny and Treena. Four great grandchildren: Jenna, Cassidy, Liam and Kaeleigh. Jack is also lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Eileen Tuscher, sister-in-law Mary Angelski, brother-in-law Sanford (Ann) Schell, four nephews, and one niece. Jack is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Agnus, infant son Stinson, and younger brother Albert. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter/St. James Anglican Church with Reverend Clare Edwards officiating. The organist was Arlene Milton. Honourary pallbearers were Jack's family and friends. Ushers were Ian James and Maurice Rachuk. Memorial register attendants were Lacy and Brittany Hynes. Remembrance of Jack was done by his god-daughter Lisa Hynes. Following the service a lunch was served by the Circle C Women's Group. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, c/o Fur Keepsakes, 120 Main Street, Flin Flon, MB. Dadson Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements. Thank You We would like to express our appreciation to all our friends and family and our church friends for their many acts of kindness. The food, flowers, phone calls and cards were overwhelmingly received. Thank you to Reverend Clare Edwards for the beautiful service.
