Helen Davis Evans Helen Davis Evans passed away October 9, 2003. Helen was born May 30, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Rees W. and Chlo Davis. She grew up in Island Falls, SK, where her father built the community and ran HBMS power plant on the Churchill River. There she attended school to 8th grade. Then moved to Brigham City, Utah, graduated from Box Elder High School and went on to University of Utah to receive a degree as a Lab Tech. She married Fred Evans on May 28, 1941. Helen was very proud of being raised in the isolated community of Island Falls and kept in touch with her childhood friends. To keep memories of her childhood home alive she wrote a book with the help of Carole Osborne Cole, entitled "Camp 55". She is survived by her children Diane (Dennis); Tracey (Robert); John (Laurie); and an "adopted" daughter Terri; grandchildren, Haline (Stephen), Brandon (Rebecca), Jeremy, Aaron, Elder Jayden Thorup, Jenna, Justin, Jacob, Tyler, Sarah and Lindsey; one great-granddaughter, Lauren; two brothers, Richard and Bud; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and sister, Dorothy.
