Phillip (Phil) Robert Gagne Phil Gagne will be sadly missed, for he was a great man, who passed away July 13, 2004 at the age of 58. Friends called at the Boardman/Northland Funeral Home, 28 Nelson Road on Sunday, July 18, 2004 between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Lawrence R.C. Church, 114 Cree Road with Fr. Swami Devaprasad officiating. Cremation to follow. Phillip Robert Gagne was born on December 2, 1945, in Flin Flon, Manitoba. He grew up in Creighton, Sask., he loved to travel and travelled across most of western Canada. He returned to Flin Flon where he met and married Sandy Rondeau. Together they moved around until settling in Thompson, Manitoba in 1974. In Thompson they raised their three children. He then added to his family by being a wonderful foster parent. Phil enjoyed his career as a heavy duty mechanic throughout the northern communities. As well as hunting, fishing, camping and most outdoor activities. He was always out spreading his cheerfulness with his happy caring personality to whomever he met, and everyone was welcome at his supper table, he always had room for one more no matter how many there were. He loved to sit and visit with everyone even if he couldn't remember your name, he would remember your face. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy. Daughters: Brenda (Mike) Gornik, Sandra Everson, Michelle (Ryan Davis) Everson, Diana (Darren) Achter, Heather Gagne, Janice Gagne, and Kimberly Donkey. Grandchildren: Maurie, Michael, Mikey, Stephanie, Jesse, Dustin, Nicolas and Aliesha. Extended daughters: Deanna, Eva-Rae and Teri Ann. Siblings: Pat (Orval) Strong, Rose Wright, Alfie Jr. (Maxine) Head, Lilyann Benoit, Leona Head, Maggie Marin, Gwen Cook, and numerous relatives and friends. Phil was predeceased by his parents: Minerva and Eugene Gagne, other family Margrette Head, Edward Ballantyne and Irma Head. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made in Phil's memory to the Challenged Child Fund, c/o of the CIBC Bank, Thompson Branch.
