Jeannette Elvera (Patrick) Boe Peacefully on October 28, 2003, with her granddaughter at her side, Mom left us to join Dad. Born in Winnipeg, MB, (March 18, 1921) she lived in Oxbow and Margo, SK, and in Cold Lake, MB. In Cold Lake she met and married Arne and there the family was started. After the move to Lynn Lake in 1954, the family was completed. There were a number of years spent in Laurie River that were always cherished by Mom. In 1977 they retired to Flin Flon, MB, where Mom made many very dear friends. She was very active with the Legion Ladies Auxiliary in both Lynn Lake and Flin Flon and so proudly marched in the Colour Party for November 11 services. Curling with the seniors was also fondly spoken of. Family to Mom was everything. Left to mourn her passing are her six children: Donald Boe of Calgary, AB, Sharon (Walter) Kabaroff of Blaine Lake, SK, Douglas (Sandra) Boe of Lynn Lake, MB, Leslie (Lorna) Boe of Dubai, U.A.E. Elizabeth (Bryan) Reid of Thompson, MB, and Christopher Boe of Thompson, MB. Twelve grandchildren: Shaina, Danica, Randy, Sandra (Darryl), Juli (Pete), Nancy (Winston), Kristjan, Ainsley, Tammy (Linus), Mark (Kyla), Savannah and Shondra; also five great-grandchildren: Travis, Jordan, Jessica, Joelene and Jason. She was predeceased by husband Arne (1989), her parents, sister Irma and brother Allen. Funeral services were held at the Chapel of the Dadson Funeral Home in Flin Flon on October 31, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. If so desired, donations may be made in Jeannette's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of MB, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Mom, In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered so much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage Like a tall tree you did bend, But still you kept enduring Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, So He put his arms around you And whispered, "Come with Me." So when we saw you sleeping So peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. So God, if there are roses in heaven Please pick a bunch with care, Place them in her arms, And tell her we still care. Lovingly remembered by your family
