OVERLAND, EDITH MYRTLE went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2003 at the age of 87 years. Born in 1916 in Wadena, Saskatchewan she moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba in 1934 and spent the next forty years in the Flin Flon and Snow Lake areas. Upon her husband's retirement from HBM&S in 1974 they moved to Summerland, B.C. Predeceased by her son Norman Ralph in 1961 and her husband James Leland in 1986, she will be fondly remembered by her family: three daughters; Esther (Don) Myrvold of Winnipeg, Delores Wilgenbusch of Roblin, MB and Leona (Joe) Belanger of Summerland, B.C.; and two sons: Earl (Lynne) Overland of Penticton, B.C. and Jim (Bonnie) Overland of Port Alice, B.C. She enjoyed visiting and hearing news of her 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers: John Elander and Gary (Pat) Elander of Victoria, B.C. and Roger (Esther) Elander of Port Alberni, B.C. and three sisters: Doris Clark, Helen Bell and Karen McFadden. A Celebration of Life in memory of Edith was held on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the Summerland Pentecostal Church.
