Jeanne Eleanor (Starr) Colville of 427-3rd Avenue, Creighton, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at the age of 70 years. She was born in Yorkton, SK. on December 17, 1932 to parents Evert and Ruby Starr. She resided in Yorkton, Hudson Bay, Flin Flon and Creighton. Jeanne graduated from Yorkton Collegiate, she married William B. Colville on May 18, 1957. Jeanne was employed as a bookkeeper by Northland Chrysler, Northland Chev Olds, Creighton Hardware and Ready Auto Body. She retired in 1988. Jeanne's hobbies included crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, paper tole, square dancing and travelling. Jeanne was predeceased by her father Evert Starr (1995), mother Ruby Starr (1998), and brother Ivan (1998). She is survived by her husband Bill, son Glen (Carol) and grandchildren Kale and Brendan, daughter Lynn (Russell) McMaster, and grandchildren Kyle and Kari. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. with internment at Hillside Cemetery with Rev. Ivan Church officiating. Honourary pallbearers were all of Jeanne's family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Dadson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. 204-687-5821.
