Joseph Alvin Richard Neault of 142 Riverside Drive passed away suddenly Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the age of 55 years. Alvin was born on July 14, 1948, in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, to Rose Adelia Vectoria Thibert (born in Cayer, MB, April 19, 1913) and Joseph Neault. He resided in Ste. Rose du Lack, MB, Flin Flon, one year in Thompson, and then back to Flin Flon until present. On June 21, 1969, he married Valerie Jean Jackson. He was employed with HBM&S for 28 years and enjoyed wood working. Alvin was predeceased by his mother Rose (Thibert), father Joseph, sister Marita and brother Henry. He is survived by his loving wife Valerie; children - daughters Shirley, Linda (Chad Smith), grandsons Bradley and Geoffrey, son Kevin and future daughter-in-law Lori Altstadt; mother-in-law Doris Jackson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ann Murray, Barbara Meger, Brenda (Adrien) Fafard, Murray (Marg) Jackson, Dennis (Daisy) Jackson, Mavis Hucaluk, Greg (Di) Jackson, Ken (Marilyn) Jackson, Lawrence (Sue) Jackson, Sharon (Gerry) Carmichael and Sheila (Willie) Bangs; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service was held Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, with the Reverend Ina Golaiy officiating. The organist was Arlene Milton. Active pallbearers were Murray, Dennis, Greg, Ken and Lawrence Jackson, (Woody) Gordie Pedersen, Cam Yeo and Don Murray. Honourary pallbearers were all his family, friends, and co-workers. Ushers were Kent Hucaluk and Jason Carmichael. Memorial register attendants were Linda Yeo and Lois Pedersen. Following interment at Hillside Cemetery, a lunch was served by the Evergreen Rebekah Lodge #56 and St. Andrew's Presbyterian ladies at St. Ann's Hall. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Society, c/o Fur Keepsakes, 120 Main Street, Flin Flon.
