MUGGABERG Ñ Anne Muggaberg died in her Albuquerque home on March 28, 2004, at the age of 105 years old. Anne was born in Ashford Kent, England and moved to Manitoba, Canada, in 1904 where she lived (in Winnipeg while growing up and in Flin Flon, a mining town in northern Manitoba for 32 years) until moving to Albuquerque in August 1968. In 1965 Anne received a life membership to the Women's Auxiliary of the Anglican Church of Canada Diocese of Brandon. After moving to Albuquerque, she was an active Alter Guild member at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and later at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Anne was also a member of St. Elizabeth's Guild at St. Mary's. Anne was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1978. She is survived by her two daughters, Merle Mathieson and Carol Ann Muggaberg, of Albuquerque; and her son, George; and his wife, Evelyn, of Banning California. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Keener, of Farmers Branch, Texas; a sister-in-law, Amy Munday, of Albuquerque; and a niece, Teresa Coat, of Ontario, Canada. Anne was a six-generation aunt. Services were held on Friday April 2, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park NE. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale SE. Friends came to a visitation at Strong-Thorne Mortuary on Thursday, April 1, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
