You were husband and father Who always made things right, Who gave and shared, listened and cared, And made the whole world bright. You were husband and father Who knew just what to do, Who sheltered and guided, protected and provided And made each of our dreams come true. And then your heart stopped beating, Your hard working hands were put to rest, God called you into His garden, For He only takes the best. Gone are the days we used to share, But in our hearts you are always there, Unseen and unheard but you're here, Still missed and loved and forever dear. Holidays, birthdays and all that we do, Brings us tears and memories of you, Memories are treasures no one can steal, Just as heartaches no one can heal. The gates of memories never close, We miss you more than anyone knows. As for those who have husband and father, Should treasure him with care, For you will never know his value Until he's no longer there. Lovingly remembered and forever missed by Lil Dear Dad.
