Flin Flonners enjoy free shopping at school clothing drive

Donations from generous parents and community members helped fill Ruth Betts Community School’s mini gymnasium for its fifth annual clothing drive.

Donations from generous parents and community members helped fill Ruth Betts Community School’s mini gymnasium for its fifth annual clothing drive.

Well over 200 shoppers checked out the stock between Tuesday and Wednesday as tables overflowed with adult, youth and children’s clothes, footwear and outerwear.

Leftover items from the drive will be donated to outlying communities.

In years past leftover items were donated to the Kids First North program’s clothing drive, but that drive was so successful it did not need the items from Ruth Betts.
