The Flin Flon Recycling Centre is coordinating the 20 Minutes of Magic clean-up campaign.
It is a call out to all residents and businesses, civil servants and citizens who are proud of this community to spend 20 minutes and clean up litter from public spaces on Friday, May 22.
Registration forms are available at grocery stores or electronically by emailing [email protected].
People who register will receive recycling and garbage bags, gloves and t-shirts while supplies last.
Registration is also needed so the bags can be picked up and taken to the Recycling Centre or the landfill.
It is possible to participate on different day that week. This should be indicated on the registration form.
Participants can enter a draw for two $200 grocery gift cards.
There will also be a random draw from all the Northern communities who participate for $5,000 toward a recycling project.
This project is co-sponsored by the Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association and Multi-Material Stewardship of Manitoba.
