The Kinsmen and Kinette clubs of Flin Flon are taking a bite out of hunger this Christmas season.

The clubs last week presented the Lord’s Bounty Food Bank with $500 as well as food items to help fill the shelves throughout the holidays.

The two clubs held their annual Christmas tree sale at the end of November and gave customers a discount if they brought a non-perishable food item for the food bank.

For those who did not bring a food item, $5 from each tree sold was donated to the food bank.

Some tree buyers chose to donate both money and food.
