Area residents put on their thinking caps at the Flin Flon Kinette Club’s Trivia Night.

Held last Friday, March 6, at the RH Channing Auditorium, the evening drew more than 200 people.

“The event was a great success,” said Marlene Gogal of the Kinettes, adding that proceeds will support community projects.

Teams of six members churned their brain gears against a series of trivia queries.

Taking first place was 50 Shades of Grey Matter, made up of Andy Burbidge, Richard Rebelo, Sarah Rebelo, Joel Nilsen, Rob Mote and Heidi Mote. They donated their $300 prize back to the Kinettes.

Second spot went to Ice Is, made up of Travis Rideout, Kelly Mansell, Ryan Bortis, Rob Trubiak, Rett Sapergia and Jonathan Cooper. They won $200.

Winning third place, and $100, were the Pudding Skinz: Janel Pearson, Brett Pearson, Vincent Cable, Stacy Becker, Kara Plamondon and Kathryn Drapak.

Nicole Leifso won the elimination draw prize of airfare and accommodations for two to Winnipeg. The runner-up was Melanie Erikson, who took home a $200 Co-op gift card.

An annual event, Trivia Night was again held as part of the Bust the Winter Blues Festival.
