Spades results from January 29 are: Ladies: First - Flo Sayese 872; second - Ruth Jackson 853; third - Eloise McLean 833; low - Virginia Blake 439. Ladies' high for the month was Jean Pazdzierski with 895. Men: First - Iris Wiebe 807; second - Borga Einarson 753; third - Lorraine Ernest 744; low - Julie Chambers 586. Men's high for the month was Lorraine Ernest with 878. A Spades tournament was held Saturday, January 31. First were Dot and Mel Hammell with 1128, second Mary Vandergucht and Borga Einarson 1127, third Stella Chrupalo and Jean Pazdzierski 1125, fourth Betty Jobb and Eric Callbeck 1115, fifth Liz Sochan and Virginia Blake 1091. During Bust the Winter Blues Festival at the Seniors Drop-In Centre, there will be Whist on Saturday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m. and Spades Sunday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m., with chili on a bun being served.
