Former Flin Flon Bomber Reid Robertson has continued to make an impact on the school where he served as a mentor. RBC and the SJHL, through the bank’s Ambassador program, have donated $1,000 in Robertson’s name for programming at Ecole McIsaac School.

Both the league and the Bombers announced the honour and the donation August 5.

During his time with the Bombers, Robertson, a 20-year-old forward from Winnipeg, worked as a mentor with the Flin Flon School Division (FFSD) and was an instructor for the FFSD’s hockey academy program and the Flin Flon Xtreme Hockey School. In the offseason, Robertson would also work with the Edge of Excellence hockey camp in his hometown. When the Bombers attended local events, Robertson was almost always present, particularly at children’s activities like community skates.

On the ice, Robertson played parts of three seasons with the Bombers, racking up 32 points in 52 games with the Bombers in the 2019-20 season. Going into the 2020-21 season, Robertson was named an assistant captain with the team as play began and played two games with the Bombers before the season was halted and - eventually - cancelled.
