Pharmasave will host a bake sale today to help the Flin Flon Fireworks Committee replace vandalized equipment.

After this year’s Canada Day display, roughly $1,200 in fireworks equipment was vandalized.

Today’s bake sale will help offset the cost of the new equipment now required.

“Pharmasave is always looking for ways to give back to the community and when we heard about the vandalism…we felt we needed to help this organization to raise money to replace the damaged or missing equipment,” said Pharmasave employee Janet Hancock. “The fireworks have always been a highlight of Canada Day and we wanted to make sure the community didn’t miss out
this year.”

Hancock says the store would love to be able to raise $1,000 to donate to the committee.

Today’s sale will feature baked goods made by employees and their friends as well as treats donated by others in the community. The sale runs from 11 am to 2 pm.
