The annual Flin Flon Christmas luncheon was held on Friday, Dec. 5, at Winnipeg’s Viscount Gort Hotel. In attendance were 90 guests, including several folks from out of town.
The banquet room was festively decorated for the season with a beautiful Christmas tree, wreaths on the walls, vases filled with blue and silver ornaments, and blue and silver napkins on the tables. The white tablecloths and white chair slipcovers added a real elegance.
Guests enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner with potatoes and gravy, vegetables, perogies and several salads.
Out-of-town guests included Jack Kinsley from Stonewall, Rosemary Reynolds, Bryan Dixon and Mavis Hassel of Flin Flon, and Jim and Judy Senka from Smithers, BC. We welcomed back Bob and Fran Senka, Elaine McCrimmon, Sharon Trosky and Joni Hanson.

Following the meal, several door prizes were handed out. Ellinor Prentice won the large gift basket and hand-knit scarf.
Please mark Friday, March 6 for the next Flin Flon Luncheon to be held at the Viscount Gort. Also, because Good Friday falls on the first Friday of April, that month’s luncheon will be held Thursday, April 2.
