Residents living with an ongoing health problem are invited to Get Better Together (GBT).

The free six-week program, offered by the Northern Health Region beginning in late February, will help participants learn to manage their symptoms – and more.

GBT is led by individuals who themselves live with health issues and therefore understand the challenges involved.

The program aims to help participants build confidence to better manage through group support and discussion on the topics such as physical activity, communication and medication use.

Residents living with a heart condition, diabetes, arthritis, depression or any other ongoing health problem are invited to participate.

“I now know that I can deal with everything going on in my life, just differently and better,” said one past GBT graduate.
